Rule of Law

An animation for The Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR),
part of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE)

The animated photo collage style again helped with the serious message. Use of real characters, and realistic elements softened by textures, assists the viewer to engage with the message. The backgrounds in the animation aren't overloaded, and along with bright colors have helped the video not to be overwhelming - despite a heavy subject matter. Typography became a significant part of the video, highlighting the main slogans from voiceover and the most important messages.

It's our next collage project, after Include a charity. Thanks to having that experience, we knew how to deal with some challenges, so the implementation proceeded better. The extensive use of our footage was a novelty. The earlier project encouraged us to take photos, rather than try and find relevant stock footage. This time we rented a judge's gown and made all the necessary shots for the storyboard. Thanks to that we had great control over the rotation of the characters and their hand movements.
